Passports are required for all trips outside the continental U.S. Passports: $65-$100, depending on when you apply. Photos: $10-$20. If you don’t already have one, apply now for your passport!
To obtain a passport license. In addition, you need to pick up a passport application from the post office and turn in the requested information to the postal clerk for processing with the US Passport Agency. You should allow 6-8 weeks before your trip for your passport to arrive.

Visas may be required – this will be discussed in team meetings. The cost is not included in your trip.
Tel International supports the immunizations that are recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) www.cdc.gov/travel/destinat.htm. Please check with your team leader to determine what is needed for your trip. You will need to consult your physician or a local travel clinic. Some shots must be given 4-6 weeks prior to your trip. For immunizations, you will need to contact your physician or a local travel clinic.
Fees for immunizations and vaccinations are not included in the price of the trip. Tetanus/Diphtheria vaccinations are required for some trips. You may also need to get a prescription from your physician for malaria medication. For a list of recommended vaccinations, check out www.cdc.gov/travel/destinat.htm.
Application must be received 120 days prior to departure date. A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required at the time of registration. 50% of trip payment will be due 90 days prior to departure. Full trip payment is due 45 days prior to departure. All flights booked through TEL are non-refundable and non-transferable.
In the rare and unlikely event that TEL International (TEL) has to cancel a Mission Trip, the total amount paid to TEL International may be refunded (including the deposit). If the cancellation is at the request of the participant or is a result of non-payment by the due date, any deposit or mission trip fees paid by the participant may be applied to another TEL program to be booked within 12 months from the date the original airfare was ticketed (subject to availability).

Typically, they are one week to 10 days long. Most groups find it easiest to leave from home on a Saturday and return from the mission field on a Saturday.
Yes, you do need a passport to travel overseas with TEL International. Effective as of January 1, 2006, the U. S. government requires all citizens from the USA to have a passport to travel overseas. You will need to have a current, valid passport to go on a short-term mission trip.
The options are truly limitless, but here are a few examples: Vacation Bible School programs, puppet shows, tract distribution, light construction work, visit schools, and orphanages, etc.
TEL International does not enforce any age limits. However, most individuals that go are at least 16 years old. There are people under age 16 who go, but it is typically with an adult family member.
You will be provided with an EMERGENCY number of the TEL International representative who will be on the trip. However, this is for EMERGENCIES ONLY and all other calls must come through the TEL International home office at (469) 523-1396.
All international trips for individuals include airfare, insurance, lodging, meals and ground transportation.
The most effective way to raise funds for your trip is to mail out 75-100 donation letters to family, friends, church members, doctors, dentists, teachers, etc. You can also engage in fund raising activities.

No. Due to IRS guidelines, we are not permitted to issue tax deductible donations for personal use. You can be reimbursed if you incur expense for travel to and from the departure point.
