When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast made…Psalm 8: 3
How can anyone keep from loving God when he or she considers the manifold, multiple and magnificent works of God? Whether one stares at the stars, gazes at the ground, looks over the ocean, views a valley or takes in the majesty of a mountain, it is mighty hard not to love what you see and the God who made it possible to be seen. Before you reject God out of hand, maybe if you take a moment to consider Him, you, too, will find yourself singing:
O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder. Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made. I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder; Thy power throughout the universe displayed. And when I think of God, His Son not sparing. Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in. That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing. He bled and died to take away my sin. When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation. And lead me home, what joy shall fill my heart. Then I shall bow with humble adoration. And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art. Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee. How great Thou art, how great Thou art. Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee. How great Thou art, how great Thou art.
