The Mukono Children Centre in kitakwi District Uganda serves 300 children. During a community visit, we found that many children were struggling to learn because their families could not afford to feed them regular meals each day. Not knowing where their next meal would come from, these children struggle to focus on classroom assignments with an empty stomach. TEL International is committed to providing nutritious meals through the schools lunch program to ensure that these children thrive in school and beyond. The program will provide daily lunches for an entire year, and help facilitate long term improvements in school performance.
