In Ghana, one in four children under the age of five experiences stunted growth due to malnutrition. When essential nutrients are lacking during early development, the effects can last a lifetime. It can also trigger ongoing health challenges, forcing families to spend limited resources on medical care instead of education, food, or income-generating activities.

By supporting this initiative, you ensure that 300 schoolchildren receive a nutritious breakfast every school day for an entire year. The program provides a daily serving of nutrient-dense “koko” porridge made with Quality Protein Maize (QPM). QPM delivers nearly 90% of the digestible protein found in a glass of skim milk, giving children the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Wherever this feeding program has been introduced, the results are consistent and powerful: enrollment doubles, daily attendance rises, and absenteeism drops. Teachers report more focused, engaged classrooms as students are free from the constant distraction of hunger.
