K.D. Wesley Memorial Middle School

TEL International is thrilled to announce the opening of K.D. Wesley Memorial Middle School in Techiman, Ghana—a significant step forward in our mission to provide holistic, Christ-centered education to underserved communities. According to local officials, this is currently the only educational middle school facility available in the area, marking a vital milestone for youth and families in Techiman who have long lacked access to quality education. The school was named in honor of the late Karry Don Wesley, former pastor of Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Pastor Wesley’s legacy of faith, leadership, and service continues to inspire and shape our mission to share the Gospel through meaningful action.

Construction began recently on the second level of the K.D. Wesley Memorial Middle School, marking a significant milestone in the school’s continued development. This expansion is a direct response to the growing number of students and the increasing demand for quality education in the Techiman community. The new level will provide additional classrooms, improved learning facilities, and dedicated space for special programs, enabling the school to better serve its students academically and spiritually. As the building rises, so does the hope for a brighter future for the children who will walk its halls.

In many regions of Africa, governments face ongoing challenges in funding and staffing educational institutions. In response, TEL International remains committed to bridging this gap—providing not only academic learning but also spiritual formation. Our vision for Christian education is rooted in the belief that the Christian school is one of the greatest tools for evangelism and discipleship the church possesses today.

At K.D. Wesley Memorial Middle School, students receive a quality education grounded in biblical values. More than just textbooks and classrooms, the school serves as a place where hearts and minds are shaped, and where students are introduced to the hope and grace found in Jesus Christ.

As this outreach expands, we invite you to partner with us in prayer. Pray for the dedicated teachers, who not only instruct but minister daily. Pray for the students, many of whom come from unreached or spiritually hungry backgrounds, that their hearts would be open to learning not only about math and science—but about God’s love and saving grace. This is more than a school—it’s a beacon of light in a community hungry for opportunity, hope, and transformation. Together, we believe we can shape the future—one child, one classroom, one prayer at a time.
