TEL International is deeply concerned about the alarming rise in violence and kidnappings targeting Christians in Haiti. Over recent months, reports indicate that pastors, ministry leaders, and other key figures within the church have faced direct threats to their safety, creating an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. Several congregations have already experienced the devastating loss of their pastors, leaving communities without spiritual guidance at a time when encouragement, support, and hope are desperately needed.
The ongoing instability has placed both local ministry leaders and foreign missionaries in vulnerable positions, as they strive to continue their work amid growing security risks. Churches that have long served as safe havens for worship and community support now face the challenge of protecting their leaders and congregants while continuing their mission. Despite these threats, the faith and resilience of believers in Haiti remain steadfast, as many continue to serve their communities, provide guidance, and offer hope even in the face of danger.
In light of these urgent circumstances, TEL International calls for persistent and heartfelt prayer for the protection of every pastor, missionary, and Christian leader in Haiti. Pray that they may be shielded from harm, strengthened in their calling, and granted courage and wisdom as they navigate a perilous environment. By lifting them in prayer and supporting their work, we can help ensure that the light of faith continues to shine in communities facing fear and unrest, bringing hope, comfort, and resilience to those who need it most.
