Breaking the Cycle of Poverty and Disease in Kenya

Breaking the Cycle of Poverty and Disease in Kenya

Inflation, unemployment, rising food prices have raised barriers to overcoming poverty in Kenya. As a result, the chronically poor in this region remain vulnerable to preventable, but life-threatening diseases. Many struggle to make the impossible choice between their own treatment or educating their children and putting food on the table.

TEL International and its partners in Kenya are implementing programs in alignment with our three strategic pillars: 1) health education, and clean water 2) developing small business venture; and 3) Broadening our impact with need-based programing from health clinics to support for primary education. Through this program, we will empower tens of thousands of people to break the chain of poverty and disease. Our long-term vision is to see the people of Kenya become healthy, empowered, and prosperous.
