Clean Water, Compassion, and the Gospel

Clean Water, Compassion, and the Gospel

Access to clean, safe water should never determine who lives or dies. Yet for thousands of people living in underserved rural communities across Nigeria, access to reliable drinking water remains a daily challenge. Families are often forced to depend on unsafe water sources that can expose them to preventable diseases and place an enormous burden on children and vulnerable households. Through this TEL International Initiative, we aim to provide safe, sustainable drinking water to 5,000 rural villagers in underserved Nigerian communities. The project will drill solar-powered boreholes, install hand pumps, and establish and train local water committees responsible for managing and maintaining these vital water systems.

The impact will extend far beyond providing water. Access to clean water can significantly reduce the spread of waterborne diseases, improve sanitation and hygiene, increase school attendance, and give children more time to learn rather than spend hours helping their families search for water. Reliable water sources can also support agriculture, livestock, small businesses, and other local livelihoods, creating opportunities for families to become more self-sufficient.

Most importantly, this initiative will help restore dignity and hope to vulnerable communities. A dependable source of clean water means families will no longer have to choose between risking their health and going without this most basic necessity of life.

By combining solar-powered technology, local ownership, community training, and sustainable maintenance, TEL International is seeking to create solutions that will serve communities for years to come rather than provide only temporary relief.

Clean water changes everything. It protects health, strengthens families, keeps children in school, supports livelihoods, and gives communities the opportunity to build a healthier and more sustainable future. Your support can help TEL International bring clean, accessible water to communities where it is needed most. Together, we can help ensure that access to safe water is not a privilege reserved for some, but a basic necessity available to all.
