As the family of indigenous missionaries at TEL International continues to grow, so does their commitment to advancing the Gospel through meaningful and relational evangelism. These faithful men and women are taking important steps forward in reaching their communities by following the example set by Jesus Christ Himself. Christ demonstrated that effective ministry is not merely about speaking to people, but about truly connecting with them. He met individuals where they were, understood their culture, and communicated eternal truths through familiar illustrations, stories, and everyday experiences that resonated deeply with the hearts of the people.
Jesus often used metaphors, parables, and word pictures drawn from daily life—farming, fishing, shepherding, and family relationships—to build bridges of understanding. In the same way, TEL International’s indigenous missionaries are learning to communicate the Gospel within the context of their own cultures and communities. Because they know the language, traditions, struggles, and values of the people they serve, they are uniquely positioned to share God’s truth in ways that are personal, relatable, and transformative.
This approach to ministry is already producing encouraging results. On an almost weekly basis, we receive reports and testimonies documenting lives that are being changed by the power of the Gospel. Many individuals who once possessed only a nominal or distant knowledge of Jesus Christ are now encountering Him in a personal and life-changing way. For the first time, they are moving beyond religious familiarity and entering into a genuine relationship with the Savior.
These testimonies remind us that the Gospel becomes especially powerful when communicated through authentic relationships, cultural understanding, and genuine compassion. Through the dedication of these indigenous missionaries, hearts are being opened, communities are being impacted, and lives are being transformed for eternity. As we continue to equip and send these servants into the harvest fields, we rejoice in seeing God draw people to Himself in remarkable ways, transforming hearts, restoring lives, and raising up new believers who are eager to grow in their faith and share the hope of Christ.
