While missionaries are needed worldwide, the Black Church is beginning to play a role in sending out their own missionaries. Black America is no longer just a mission field but is taking its rightful place as part of the missionary force. Through our short-term missionary program African Americans are being trained and local churches are being assisted to help them gather the resources for sending their own missionaries to places such as South America, Africa and Asia. Many feel that Black missionaries have much in common with other people in the developing world in that they have common roots.
