They may mix truth with error, making deception difficult to recognize for those who lack biblical discernment. For this reason, Christians are called to “test the spirits” and evaluate every teaching in light of Scripture rather than accepting it based on personality, popularity, or emotional appeal.
Faithful leaders do more than expose falsehood—they lovingly point people to the truth found in Jesus Christ. By modeling lives of integrity, teaching sound doctrine, and remaining dependent upon the Holy Spirit, they strengthen the faith of believers and help protect the church from deception. As we seek God daily through prayer and immerse ourselves in His Word, we become better equipped to lead others with wisdom, courage, and unwavering faithfulness to the gospel, faithfully proclaiming sound doctrine, modeling Christlike character, and strengthening believers to remain steadfast in their faith.
