When God Sends, He Sustains

When God Sends, He Sustains

When we respond to God’s call by going, giving, or praying, we can do so with confidence because our strength and authority come from Him, not from ourselves. We may feel inadequate or uncertain about our abilities, but God does not ask us to depend solely on our own resources. Instead, He calls us to trust His power, follow His direction, and remain faithful to the work He has entrusted to us.

Consider Moses, who stood before Pharaoh, one of the most powerful rulers of his time, and delivered God’s demands. Moses did not approach Pharaoh in his own authority but as a servant sent by the Lord. His confidence rested in the God who had called him and promised to be with him. This reminds us that when God sends us to accomplish His purposes, we can depend on His presence and power rather than being intimidated by the challenges before us.

As we pursue God’s will, we will inevitably encounter opposition, uncertainty, and circumstances that test our faith. However, we do not have to allow fear to control our decisions or prevent us from obeying His commands. Our confidence is not based on the absence of danger or difficulty but on the assurance that God remains faithful. Even when the path ahead seems uncertain, we can move forward knowing that He is able to sustain us.

Throughout history, missionaries have demonstrated this truth by courageously sharing the Gospel, serving those in need, and enduring hardships for the sake of Christ. Their faithfulness reminds us that God’s work advances through people who trust Him enough to obey, even when the cost is great. Whether we go into the mission field, give to support His work, or pray for those who serve, we can participate with confidence, knowing that our calling comes from God, our strength is supplied by Him, and our ultimate purpose is to bring glory to His name.
