With the recent devastation due to Hurricanes Irma and Maria in Puerto Rico, you may be wondering where to begin and how to help. TEL International has partnerships in Puerto Rico requesting teams as soon as logistically possible. We will continue to serve alongside local churches in their efforts to clean up and support the local community members.Our Pastors are being faced with the difficult challenge of assisting and ministering to their community with limited resources. With ministry partners all over the Island of Puerto Rico, your team will have an opportunity to go where the help is needed most.

We are now accepting applications for those interested in becoming a member of the mission team. One of our team leaders will be in touch with you within 48 hours.
Trip Cost – $1,995 per person
Skills/Qualification Needed – There are no specific skills or qualifications required to become a part of this missions team, but volunteers must be open-minded, flexible, patient, caring and motivated.
Accommodations – The team will stay at the mission house complex. Team members will be split into one of several bedrooms. Sheets, pillows and towels are provided. There are also traditional style bathrooms with toilets, sinks, and showers. Team members will enjoy a mixture of typical Puerto Rican meals and American fare. Cooks take all necessary precautions when washing, preparing, and storing food. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions, allergies or special considerations. Bottled water will be available at the complex and at all points during the trip.
Airfare and In-Country Transportation – Our staff is committed to taking care of as many logistical details as possible, so you can focus on your MISSION. We coordinate all the airline travel booking and arrange all in-country transportation. The cost of your flight and in-country transportation is included in the total trip cost.
Passports and Visas – All Americans traveling abroad need a passport that is valid for at least six (6) months after the travel dates. The US Passport cards are not valid for air travel, nor are they valid for travel to and from your destination. If you need to get, update, or renew your passport, visit the government’s website. Once you have a passport, we will assist you in acquiring a visa. Visa and processing are not included in the total trip cost.
Immunizations – Generally, travelers receive shots/medicine to prevent; malaria, typhoid, tetanus, Hepatitis. Obtain more information prior to your appointment by consulting the http://www.cdc.gov website. Vaccination and immunization costs are not included in your total trip cost as you will have to obtain these at a medical facility where you live. If you have any questions or concerns about your immunizations, please contact your family physician before they are administered.
Insurance – Included in the mission trip cost is travel insurance which will assist you in your return to the U.S. should you become ill while traveling.
Payment Schedule – A nonrefundable deposit ($250 per person) is required at the time of registration to reserve space on your trip. Registration fees are in U.S. dollars and can be paid by check, money order, or credit card. Payment can be made online, by phone or by mail.
Payments: 50% of trip cost is due November 15, 2019. The remaining balance is due January 15th, 2019. All payments are due, finalized and non-refundable by the January 15th, 2019 payment date.
Registration fees, less deposits, are refundable when cancelled by January 15th, 2019. The entire mission trip fee will be forfeited for cancellations after January 15th, 2019. If payment is not received by the payment deadline dates, reserved space(s) will be cancelled to make room for other groups.
Other – All other materials, including group leader handbook, participant devotionals and guides; trip promotional materials; fundraising ideas; what to pack; and cross-cultural travel tips are all included in the digital manual you will receive once you complete and submit your application and $250 deposit.
