Tanzania is located in East Africa on the Indian Ocean and south of Kenya. It is home to iconic sites such as Mount Kilimanjaro Africa’s highest mountain, and Serengeti National Park, famous for its vast game reserves. Tanzania is a cultural mosaic of humanity, with virtually limitless geographical backdrops of mountains, seashores, deserts and ancient ruins. We’ve fallen in love with the people, culture, and landscape of Tanzania, and our goal is to share the love of Jesus Christ with every soul in this beautiful country. Despite its beauty, Tanzania is among the least developed countries in the world, with half the population living in poverty. Progress has been made over the last decade; however, lack of infrastructure, access to education, high unemployment, and gender inequality all contribute to poverty in this country. It’s population of more than 53 million people, represent more than 150 different ethnic, linguistic or religious people groups. While Christianity is widespread, so is syncretism with animistic ethnic religions. We’re excited that we’ve been able to partner with God in the incredible work He’s doing there in Tanzania.
